Sparrow hawk
Martyn was born in 1964 in West Bridgeford Nottingham England. His enthusiasm for the natural world started at an early age and understanding of natural history is extensive.
He has been a keen falconer for many years, and has flown many species of birds. The Goshawk is the bird he likes to fly the most.
The last flight
Martyn has always enjoyed drawing and painting, especially birds, and combining this with his love for falconry and raptors, he has capture the image of this in his paintings. Martyn is self taught, having no formal training only guidance from Chris Christoforou. He has progressed to producing fine standards of work, this has enabled him to sell to clients all over Europe. Martyn has frequently exhibited at the British Falconry and Raptor Fair and has sold to many prominent figures in the falconry circle.
Martyn started painting in water-colors and found this very restricting, he soon moved on to Acrylics, this allows him to attain the sharpness and detail in his pictures. He is also starting to produce work in oils.
